(Try and get that song out of your head now!) Today was moving day. It started pretty early, as we had to release a Monarch before the rain moved in again – and then pack up since the One Responsible For Insider Packing (that would be Betty) was doing more important stuff this week. Actually, […]
Read more "The Wheels on the Truck Go Round and Round…"Hi Friends! We’re getting ready…it’s starting to feel like Fall in Michigan – and we’re getting itchy feet/wheels. We’ll be “On The Road Again” later this week. In the meantime – we have two recommendations for our RV friends. We hope you never need these – but just in case: JC Refrigeration in Shipshewana, IN. […]
Read more "Recommendations, Itchy Feet, Itchy Wheels"This Sunday started out slow and continued in that manner. We enjoyed a bike ride around Sterling State Park before we packed up and moved out. That park is absolutely lovely! Worth spending several days exploring and enjoying. We left at 1305 hrs. – 5 whole minutes after check out – and no one […]
Read more "Monroe to Shipshewana"This day we celebrate family. We celebrated Jeanne’s birthday a day early and enjoyed visiting with her family. They have a beautiful home that exudes the huge amounts of love and care they have invested. Inside and out, they have created a welcoming, lovely haven. It is one of those rare places you can immediately […]
Read more "Joy of Family"A last-minute decision to change our travel plans from Sunday (Cadillac to Shipshewana) to Friday (Cadillac to Monroe, MI – then Sunday Monroe to Shipshewana) highlights one of the joys of our lifestyle. Trip from Escanaba […]
Read more "Day 40 – Wrapping Up the Details"Waking up at 0530 hrs. is just plain wrong. It was a lovely morning – and weirdly quiet for Oshkosh. We started […]
Read more "Day 39 – Oshkosh to Escanaba"Wasn’t planning to post, and this may not make it out because of the overloaded internet and cell systems. We finally made it off the road today. God is so fabulous in His plans for us! This is the very best parking spot we have ever had at Oshkosh! We are right off the end […]
Read more "Day 34 – Oshkosh – Settled In"Knowing that today would be a relatively short day, we left at 1025 hrs. – in between thunderstorms. The temps were predicted to be about 15 degrees cooler – sweet relief! We stopped for refueling – both the truck and our hungry tummies – and this was the picture from the rear: Unfortunately, we did […]
Read more "Day 32 – Oshkosh – Are You Kidding Me?"This was a gentle travel day, starting at 0955 hrs. – with no certain destination. We were aiming for Rochester, MN – but had no confirmed campground for the night. Driving through farmland, washed bright green by the rains and storms from last night, it was a beautiful landscape. An audiobook provided background entertainment for […]
